Farm Update
It has now been a whole year since we found out we were going to move to the family farm. As Noah and I look at each other, saying it out loud, it doesn't seem real. Where and how has the time gone?! Last year at this time, we were spending all of our time and energy on making the logistics of the move happen. Packing, moving things little by little to the farm, navigating having a new baby, who was born just a couple weeks prior to finding out we were moving. It was a whirl wind of a spring since we moved at the end of April. This year's early spring looks a bit different and we are ecstatic about what's to come.

2024 is the first complete growing season we will get to experience here at the farm. Last spring and summer we were pretty much solely focused on adjusting to a new house, intergenerational living, unpacking, and planting roots (our families that is). This year, we get to experience and participate in all the early spring activities. Cleaning up flower beds, prepping the vegetable garden, planting seeds in the greenhouse and welcoming our first set of meat birds. We are praying that the vegetable and flower seeds take off in the greenhouse. I am personally so excited to fill the garden with baby plants and seeds and watch Gods beautiful creation take off and be what sustains our family as well as many others through the growing season.
We have thought and prayed about what we would call thee farm, wanting to capture both the reason we have chosen this way of life, and bringing glory to the one who made it possible. We decided on Taste & See Farm Co due to the beautiful invitation it extends to first; experience that the LORD is GOOD, and secondly; to come experience what farming in tune with creation looks like (and tastes like!).
'Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.' ~Psalm 34:8
This year Taste and See Farm Co is opening a farm store. We are still throwing around ideas of what exactly this will look like but we are excited for what's coming. Some things people can expect to find at the farm store are chemical free, organically grown produce, pasture raised, organically fed, soy-free eggs, chicken and pork, skin care items such as tallow balm and lip balm. Tallow balm has quickly become one of the products I'm most passionate about. Probably because I use it every day and love it so
much for myself and our whole family. Check it out here!
