Our broilers are raised in a brooder for 2-3 weeks until they have developed enough feathers to withstand the elements once on pasture. Bird are moved out to pasture and are raised in mobile chicken tractors for the remainder of there lives. Chicken tractors are moved once or twice daily for fresh forage and manure distribution.
Chickens are omnivores and consume grasses, seeds, legumes, insects, and worms while on pasture. In addition they are supplemented with certified organic, soy-free grains with Fertrell's mineral blend and free-choice grit for better digestion and nutrient absorbtion. Chickens are proudly processed right here on our farm.
